Jan 18, 2019 -- In November, Master of Innovation Design student Kristyn Smith worked with HAS HEART, a Michigan-based nonprofit organization that connects veterans to graphic designers from each state to tell their story through mediums of art, design, and fashion.

Jan. 17, 2019 -- 2018 Wichita State alumnus Brock Milford has won the prestigious FAA Centers of Excellence DOT Secretary of Transportation Student RAISE Award.

Jan. 17, 2019 -- Bryant Lewis, a senior at Olathe East High School, has been named the 2019 Linwood Sexton Scholar at Wichita State. Lewis will receive a full ride to attend WSU as a business management major starting this fall.

Jan. 15, 2019 -- Wichita State University’s College of Applied Studies awarded five high school seniors the Doris and Ralph Klose Endowed Scholarship.

Jan 11, 2019 - Past recipient of the Clay Barton Endowed Scholarship and current Master of Innovation Design student, Bailey Bryand, believes in order for one to improve, one must innovate themselves. He has lived by this philosophy throughout his high school, college and professional career.

Dec 10, 2018 -- Six Wichita State students have been named University Innovation Fellows by Stanford University’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design.

Dec. 6, 2018 -- During the fall semester, WSU first-year seminar students had the opportunity to enroll in Beal’s six-credit-hour JUMP!STAR class, co-taught by Ferrandi.

Nov. 6, 2018 -- WSU student Tammy Dorsey created the Pedi-Cell, a diagnostic tool that can detect fetal acidosis.

Oct. 5, 2018 -- Retired Lt. Colonel Larry Burks is the new director of Military and Veteran Services at Wichita State University.

Oct. 2, 2018 -- Wichita State University has been awarded $813,000 to boost enrollment and retention of students under-represented in science, technology, engineering and math. The funds are part of a larger $3 million, five-year National Science Foundation grant awarded to Kansas State University, which is sharing grant funds with a statewide coalition of universities and community colleges.

Sept. 28, 2018 - Megan Gall, a senior majoring in art history, spent the summer as an intern at the Wichita Art Museum.

Sept. 27, 2018 - Zane Storlie, a junior majoring in computer science at Wichita State, has received a $10,000 a year scholarship from High Touch, a Wichita technology company. The scholarship is renewable and honors the memory of Pat Riddle, a WSU alumna and former High Touch employee.

Sept. 19, 2018 -- The Kanbee figures, in multiple colors, appear on campus at the invitation of the university. Their appearance is one of several steps designed to make Wichita State a destination beyond its typical hours – perhaps for activities such as a scavenger hunt to record Kanbee's work.
